Bastow hat-trick sets Upton on their way to Belli Cup-tie win

IAN BASTOW struck three for Upton Athletic at Galmpton United Reserves, with Louis Bergin scoring one to see Athletic through 4-0 in the George Belli Cup, writes John Pearce.

Totnes & Dartington Reserves had Dave Barwick and Darren Fisher to thank for a morale-boosting 2-0 win at East Allington United

Staverton & Landscove won 4-2 at Brixham Villa. James Noble hit three and Paul Jacobson one for Stavvy, Kevin Smith and an own-goal for Villa.

Kingskerswell & Chelston won 3-2 at Stoke Gabriel Reserves, Mike Turner, Ollie Critchlow and Lewis Horton with the Kings' goals, Matt White and Jay Horn scored for Stoke.

Ipplepen Athletic won 3-1 at Brixham United with goals from Stuart Sparkes, Mike Berry and Mike Srdinko. Jay Morgan replied.

Premier leaders Buckland Athletic Reserves lost 2-0 at home in the cup, at the hands of Watts Blake Bearne. Nick Cousins and Andy Eden sent the cup holders out.

IN the Dartmouth Cup, Ashburton fielded just ten men at Teignmouth Reserves and drew deserved praise despite going down 3-1. Paul Tucker, Jamie Bowen and Matt Boyer netted for the hosts, Nathan Webb's 85th-minute penalty a consolation for the Ashes.

Chudleigh Athletic progressed 2-0 against Dartmouth Reserves thanks to singles from Chris Bennett and Dan Uglow.

Goals from John Coote, Chris Hardee and Nick Faulkner eased Kingsteignton Athletic through 3-0 at Hele Rovers.

Depleted Kingskerswell & Chelston Reserves went out of the cup when they lost 6-2 to Waldon Athletic. Ty Hawkin bagged three and Will Roberts, Jamie McIntyre and Dave Clark added singles, while Brooke Ward and Aaron Taylor replied.

Buckfastleigh Rangers went through 5-3 at Paignton Villa.

LIDSTONE Cup holders Hookhills United cruised through 3-1 against Teign Village, Liam Scales with a double and Liam O'Sullivan with one. Adam White netted for the Villagers.

Mitchell Simms and Sam Peardon hit doubles for Broadhempston United as they saw off Brixham United Reserves 7-0 but Jon Clyne's single was just enough to get Newton Abbot '66 past Harbertonford.

Chris Meakins, Derek Cartmill and Kieron Joy were all two goal-men in Newton United's 9-0 crushing of Hele Reserves.

Langdon beat Beesands Rovers 2-0 with goals from Jason Saw and Dane Whittle. Buckland Thirds were handed a walk-over by Upton Reserves.

SOUTH BRENT reached the second round of the Ronald Cup by way of penalties after they and Kingsteignton Reserves shared six goals. Nick and Matt Reid and Lee Thurkettle scored for South Brent, Jamie Stafford, Ian Cornock and Paul Russell for the home side.

Bovey Tracey Reserves' cup exploits go on with their 4-1 win at WBB Reserves. Dave Stear netted for the hosts, Sean Douglas (two), Lee Chapman and Mark Sneap for their guests.

Dartmouth Thirds sent Meadowbrook Athletic out with a 5-1 scoreline, Dan Lumley scoring twice, Nathan Brown, Alex Buscombe and Lee Prestige one apiece. Ward-Griffiths replied.

Waldon Reserves won by the only goal at Staverton & Landscove Reserves, while Brixham Town enjoyed a walk-over.

Foxhole United went through 5-4 in the Les Bishop Cup after extra-time at Kingskerswell & Chelston Thirds. Jack Costerton (3) and Ben Nicholls, scored for the Kings but United's John Bolus and Mark Broome doubles and Grant Willacott's single led the Foxes in to round two.

Loddiswell Reserves swept Marldon aside in a 7-0 thumping, Chris Smallridge, with three, and Adam Sherring, with two, doing much of the damage.

Totnes & Dartington Thirds led at one stage of their tie with Ilsington Villa but eventually succumbed 4-3, Chris Harper's double helping Villa through.

Bishopsteignton United were 4-2 winners against Stoke Gabriel Thirds, despite playing the last 30 minutes with only ten men. Cousins, Shaw, Liddle and Underhill scored United's goals, Chatfield replying with two.

Ipplepen Reserves made it through to round two with a 4-1 win. Goals from Bridgman, Felton, Johnson and Roberts beat Torbay Christians, for whom James scored.

Babbacombe Corinthians were saved a trip to Brixham Villa Thirds and gained a walk-over.

THE Bill Treeby Cup saw Babbacombe Reserves, whose Sam Cole hit three, ease past Buckfastleigh Reserves.

Harbertonford Reserves' revival continued with a 5-1 result against Paignton Villa Reserves, Husk, Hardman, Smith, Goss and an own-goal doing the trick, Pickavant with a consolation.

Dittisham United progressed with goals from Hewitt and Passmore in their 2-1 win over Newton 66 Reserves, while Paignton Saints Reserves went through by the same score at Malborough United.

FRASER Ferguson's 87th minute gifted goal was enough for Roselands to break Bovey Tracey Thirds' hearts, in the Ivor Andrews Cup.

Watcombe Reserves shocked Riviera Spurs Reserves 4-2 on their own manor, Kirk and Jordan Finch, Carter and Begley scoring for the visitors.

Ipplepen Thirds also advanced 3-1 at Riviera United, Rossiter, Breslan and Darby scoring for the Pens.

IN the few league matches, Marcus Copeman hit four for Stoke Fleming in an amazing 8-5 division one win over Brixham Villa Reserves.

Watcombe Wanderers jump to third place in division two on the back of a 4-1 win over Paignton Saints and Sean Finch's treble.

Steve Rohan hit three in Abbotskerswell Reserves' 9-1 division three drubbing of East Allington Reserves. Dave Hodgson did the same for WBB Thirds as they hit Denbury Athletic for seven without reply in division four.

Chudleigh Reserves were surprised 3-1 at Buckland & Milber in division five and division six basement boys Teign Village Reserves led at half-time but eventually fell away at home to Kingsbridge & Kellaton United.
