A FORMER St Leonard's Antique and Craft Centre, Newton Abbot could soon be turned into flats.

Applicant Negatax Ltd has applied to Teignbridge planners to convert the original Grade II-listed church in Wolborough Street to eight self-contained flats.

The building was sold at auction after the antique and craft centre ceased trading there.

The church was built in 1985 by Richard Millward to replace an original 15th Century church nearby.
