Free fun and games in Newton Abbot and Teignmouth parks this summer

Throughout August the council will be breaking out giant garden games in many popular parks and open spaces, offering traditional favourites like Snakes and Ladders and Connect 4.

Cllr George Gribble and Leisure and Jane Sharp (Green Spaces Projects Officer) playing giant Snakes and Ladders with youngsters in Courtenay Park, Newton Abbot.
There will also be recycling workshops where youngsters can make masks from household recyclables.
All the events take place from 2pm – 4pm on the following days:
Tuesday 2, 9 and 16 August: Courtenay Park, Newton Abbot
Wednesday 3 and 17 August: Coombe Valley Local Nature Reserve, Teignmouth
Wednesday 10 August: The Den, Teignmouth
Thursday 4 and 18 August: Hackney Marshes, Kingsteignton
Thursday 11 August: Sandringham Park, Buckland
There's no need to book for the events, families can just come along on the day. All events are weather permitting, and may be cancelled if the weather is very bad.
