Katrina Ballerina visits Teign Valley Dance Academy

Katrina Ballerina from the BBC's "So you think you can Dance"

visited Teign Valley Dance Academy in August. 

Pupils from the dancing school were lucky enough to attend her ballet

and hip hop workshops at Teign Valley Dance Academy in  Kingsteignton. 

The children were thrilled to be able to dance with Katrina Lyndon, a

former member of The Royal Ballet School and star of the BBC show.  Miss Lyndon has just returned to Devon after

touring with Mathew Bournes New Adventures company where she performed in the

Nutcracker.  She said the children, who

all attend ballet and modern classes at Teign Valley Dance Academy, were really

lovely to teach.  Teign Valley Dance

Academy teaches dance to children from ages 20 months to teens in Kingsteignton

and Chudleigh.  As well as ballet and

modern classes, it teaches tap, hip hop and street dance, and enters pupils for

local dance festivals and exams. 

Children have so much fun learning new dance styles, making friends and

getting fit at Teign Valley Dance Academy, and thoroughly enjoyed Katrina

Ballerina's visit.
