POLICE IN Torquay have issued an image of a man they wish to trace in connection with a high-value deception in the Torbay area...

The man is described as being in his late 20's to early 30's and of slim build. He had short dark hair and wore a navy blue brimmed hat, large waterproof coat, a white football shirt and dark shorts. He spoke with a Liverpool accent.

The man collected a painting, valued at almost £6,000, from a gallery in the town on 26 October 2012. The painting, the Moulin Rouge in Paris, had been bought using a fraudulent credit card.

Anyone who recognises the person in the picture or who knows where the painting might be is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference FT/12/7669.
