TRANSITION TRIFFIDS IN TOWN
-
Transition Energy Sculptures
E=X=P=A=N=D YOUR MIND on ENERGY
Strange but beautiful structures have
appeared this week in and around our town. Where are they from? What do they
mean?
Have no fear, the Transition Triffids are
friendly and are simply here to help. They landed from planet LC1, Low Carbon
One, the first in a series of planets that have successfully changed to a less
energy-hungry way of life.
Our dilemma with our energy supply has
travelled to the far corners of our galaxy. The Triffids have taken the form of
beautiful cedar tree sculptures to decorate our town. They also guide us to a
brave new world full of energy- saving champions.
St Paul's Church in
Devon Square is the latest to join the Low Carbon train gathering steam in our
town. A town proudly built around the pioneering concept of the railway. Some
were sceptical then about the coming of the railway, as indeed some are
sceptical now about our energy problems. The pioneers won over the doubters.
We hope you enjoy the Triffids and have as
much fun as we have had in creating them. more info on our
website where all will be explained: http://www.transitionnewtonabbot.org.uk/?page_id=770
See if you can spot all FIVE SCULPTURES! GOOD LUCK
We thank everyone involved, you know who
you are. We thank the Triffids and the
people of LC1 who allowed them to come and appear to us in our hour of need.
Say hello to the Low
Carbon future!

ReportWell done Transition Newton Abbot! I think this is a terrific initiative. Anything that gets people thinking about saving energy and how we can work towards a low-carbon future is a great idea in my book. Now let me see if I can spot all five sculptures...

Reporthello d2dts
thanks for commenting and sorry you feel our sculptures are nonsense. we in fact are rather proud of them. I can assue you no public money was spent on these, it was all achieved with goodwill , volunteer labour, time and donations.
we have had some positive feedback so we will just have to take yours on the chin. different strokes for different folks.
we are more than happy to meet and talk about the ideas behind our sculptures if you would like to take up the offer.
thanks helen for TNA

ReportI hope it wasn't public money that was used for this nonsense. If it was then someone needs sacking.
