Teignbridge Council services in wake of strike action

The majority of Teignbridge District Council services are unlikely to be adversely affected by national strike action taking place today.

As employees are not required by law to tell their employer if they are taking part, it is not possible to fully predict any effect on services.
Below is information about some of the council's main services and how they are or are not affected...
Services:
Waste Collection: Most collections continuing as normal, though some properties in Teignmouth will not receive collections today. For information on which street see http://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=15302
If your bin has not been collected, please leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible, most likely Thursday 1 December.
Street cleaning and road sweeping: There will not be a street cleaning service operating today. This will resume Thursday 1 December. Every effort will be made to empty public bins which need it, and there is a minimal road sweeping service operating.
Leisure: All leisure centres and facilities are open as usual.
Teignbridge Information Centres: Open as usual.
Forde House reception: Open as usual, though access to some back-office services may be limited. Where possible please try to complete your transaction by phone or online, and if your query is not urgent you may wish to wait.
Housing services: Most housing advice services and our homelessness service are operating as usual. For queries about private sector accommodation, it may not be possible to address non-urgent issues today. Please visit www.teignbridge.gov.uk/housing first for common queries.
Benefit and Revenue services: Services are largely unaffected, though you may wish to try online at www.teignbridge.gov.uk/benefits for common queries.
Environmental Health: Urgent issues will be addressed and every effort made to deliver service as usual. However, if your query is not urgent you may wish to wait or try online at www.teignbridge.gov.uk/environmentalhealth.
Building Control: Service operating as usual.
