Local people are being

invited to have their say on the future shape of Teignbridge as a new

consultation on long term plans gets underway this month.

The district is expected to

grow over the next 20 years, and Teignbridge Council is currently preparing a

Local Development Framework which will set out how, when and where new building

is required – from homes to shops, roads, public transport facilities and

more.

Work on preparing the plan

has started, and will be informed by a series of public events and feedback

opportunities this June and July.

The events are:

Sat 26 June (10am – 5 pm):

Teignmouth – Carlton Theatre

Wed 30 June (2 pm – 6 pm):

Teignmouth – Carlton Theatre

Sat 3 July (10 pm – 5 pm):

Dawlish – Shaftesbury Theatre

Tues 6 July (2 pm – 6 pm):

Sat 10 July (10am – 5pm):

Mon 12 July (11am – 7pm):

Thurs 15 July (2pm – 8 pm): Shillingford St George – Village Hall

Fri 16 July (2pm – 8 pm):

Tues 27 July (2pm – 8pm):

Sat 31 July (10am – 4pm):

Anyone who can’t make the

exhibitions can still have their say online, by post, in person or on the

phone. Further details are available at http://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/ldf, where

plans can be read and commented on using an interactive system.

Comments are also welcome by

email to forwardplanning@teignbridge.gov.uk, in

person at Teignbridge Council’s Forde House headquarters in Newton Abbot, or in

writing to:

Delivery, Teignbridge District Council, Forde House, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX

Responses must be written,

but information and advice can be given over the phone on 01626 215747.

The consultation opens on
