Assault and robbery in Kingsteignton Road, Newton Abbot: Police appeal

Assault in Kingsteignton Road, Newton Abbot.
A man in his 20’s was assaulted and robbed in Kingsteignton Road, Newton Abbot in the early hours of Sunday (April 17).
The victim was walking along in the direction of Cricketfield Road Car Park, close to the premises of A J Blackler, while using his mobile phone when he was suddenly pushed to the ground from behind.
He was then repeatedly kicked before having his wallet and phone stolen.
Police say that he was unable to see his attacker(s) and sustained bruising to his ribs and legs following the assault.

Late at Newton Abbot just doesn't feel that safe I'm afraid. Especially in the town centre it's a little eerie.
