Local dancers from Combeinteignhead were at the Teignmouth Folk Festival this weekend.

Heather and Gorse Clog Morris opened the Festival by parading through Teignmouth behind the City of Plymouth Pipe Band. Unfortunately the weather was typically English with a sharp shower on Saturday morning but it failed to dampen the dancers' spirits. When there were sunny intervals later on the streets were filled with many dance groups enteraining the crowds.

The clog dancers looked very smart in their blue dresses and shiney black clogs and performed energetically throughout the day with a selection of dances from north west England. The Heather and Gorse Band provided a selection of jigs and polka tunes to keep the dancers' clogs tapping.
