Old Exeter Road, Newcross, Strap Lane Junction Improvements.

The exhibition at the Ten Tors yesterday (but will be in Kingsteignton Library for the next two weeks) revealed that government funding is available for the above improvements.
However, there was a sting in the tail as it was revealed that the improvements are linked to the granting of planning permission on Newcross (the planning application for which is not linked to the provision of any new relief road to cope with the gridlock we already have on Newton Road)
Do people agree or disagree that these improvements are needed to improve the status quo position, let alone any additional traffic?
