Since when have you had to pay to park at Decoy Park, Newton Abbot?

I haven’t been for a while and I went the other day and noticed parking meters. 60p for nine hours.

I know it’s not much but why should we pay for walking around lake or letting our children use a public playground?

Wont the council ever just let some areas be without having to make money from us??

I would just park outside in the road for free!

I think they introduced this in the summer. But yeah, it's not hard to park outside somewhere if you really don't want to part with 60p.

60p sounds like quite a bargain for 9 hours parking to me! It would be nice if we could park for free everywhere, but councils have to raise money somehow, and this doesn't sound excessive.

Sign of the times I'm afraid. All in all I don't think that Newton Abbot has too much of a parking problem compared to some towns, namely Torquay, Paignton, Totnes etc
