Wassailing at Parke
Take part in this pagan ceremony to wake the apple trees, frighten away the nasty spirits and encourage the trees to provide a bumper harvest. Grimspound Border Morris will be here for this ancient ritual in our orchard. All the family can join in the loud singing and lively dancing and there'll be a bonfire for toasting bread to decorate the trees. Bring something noisy to help wake the apple trees (drums, whistles, pots and pans). Dress for a night outside and please bring a torch.
