Slightly tricky Newton Abbot fast food experience
By gazza1211 | Monday, October 04, 2010, 16:41
I was buying some fast food in town and while waiting, I started getting money out of my wallet. I accidentally dropped a five-pound note in the charity box.
Shortly after a member of staff (who had not seen this) came up to the counter to get my money for the food…
I’m all for giving to charity but I didn’t really want to part with five pounds. But I couldn’t exactly ask the member of staff to fish back out the money that I’d given to charity!
So in the end I just left it! What other choice did I have? I’m not even sure what charity it was but they’re now a fiver better off, so that’s my good deed for the week I guess.
If it was a ten or a twenty though I wouldn’t have been a bit more annoyed!

Is this a wind up? Surely a falling 5 pound note couldn't fit through a small slit in a chairity box?

ReportThat's a bit unfortunate! Your good deed for the day by mistake I guess.
