Newton Abbot and its surrounding area always has plenty happening on New Year’s Eve.

Whether a sophisticated dinner and dance or a memorable night of partying – there are options aplenty.

Sampson’s Farm offer a delicious five-course dinner for £45 per person. They also have New Year’s Eve packages at £99 per person (with two people sharing a room) for those wanting to stay the night. This also includes Cream Tea on arrival, five-course dinner, a glass of Champagne and a full English breakfast on New Year’s Day – a great offer.

The Barn Owl Inn is running a dinner and dance which includes a laser and lighting show playing classic disco tracks. (Table bookings cost £10 and this is redeemed on the evening).

Local resident Chris Baker is a veteran of NYE in Newton Abbot and this time around he’s going to the Ten Tors Inn, in Kingsteignton.

“I’ll go to a few pubs before hand but we’ll end up in the Ten Tors. There’s a good atmosphere there and also entertainment so it should be a great night.

“I’m too old for Enigma now,” he added.

Speaking of Hush and Enigma, they claim to be holding the biggest New Year’s Eve party in the South West! If that’s not quite enough then the following day there is a hangover party too.

Of course many locals will visit the watering holes about the town centre before congregating around the iconic clock tower at midnight.

Pubs like the Ship, Jolly Abbot and Jolly Farmer will no doubt be packed to the brim before ‘Auld Lang Syne’ is belted out.

If you’re a veteran of NYE in Newton Abbot then please feel free to share your experiences good or bad. Many venues can be rated in our business directory.

Also, if you’re an owner of a pub/restaurant please promote any NYE events on this site too.
