Today sees the first weekly edition of the Herald Express hitting our streets. What do people think of the new newspaper?

As expected it's very thick - well over 100 pages – and full of coupons and special offers.

For many years people of Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas have had the Mid-Devon Advertiser as their weekly source of local news and the Herald Express as their daily.

Now the end of each week (HE on Thursday and MDA on Friday) will see two weeklies vying for your attention.

Will you still get both? Or go for one over the other?

I'd like to see the MDA a bit thicker, it's been getting thinner and thinner down the years.

It will take some getting used to. Is it me is is the print quality not quite as it used to be? More cost cutting perhaps.

I've always seen the Herald as a bit more of a Torbay paper.
