When you’re next at the checkout and asked “Are you collecting vouchers for schools?” Instead of declining say “yes” and send them to Kingskerswell Primary School!

Newton Abbot People is supporting the plight of Kingskerswell Primary School to collect as many unwanted supermarket vouchers as possible.

Whether it’s vouchers from Asda, Sainsbury or Morrisons – Kingskerswell Primary would love to have them for new PE equipment for the children and to re-stock the adventure playground. Tesco vouchers are also being collected for IT equipment for their classrooms.

“Any vouchers that people could donate to our school will be greatly appreciated,” said Kay Oram, a member of staff at the school.

She added that Nestlé cereal Box Tops vouchers and Times Books for Schools are also keenly sought after – to be used to replenish the school library.

Last year Kingskerswell Primary collected nearly 10,000 vouchers and they are hoping to top this amount in 2010.

“If there’s any voucher connected to schools – then we’d love to have them,” said Kay.

The address for the school to send any unwanted vouchers is: Kingskerswell Primary School, Coffinswell Lane, Newton Abbot, TQ12 5HN
