  • Numerous Roman artefacts have been discovered at Kingskerswell near Newton Abbot, prior to construction of the South Devon Link road. Here's a selection of the Roman pottery
  • A member of the AC Archaeology team holds a Roman quern stone. A pair of these stones would have been used for grinding wheat
  • The media were shown a large number of Roman finds at the Kingskerswell site near Newton Abbot. The artefacts will be going to Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum
  • One of the more interesting discoveries was a piece of Roman slate. Made by a very skilled artist, it was engraved on both sides with geometric decoration
  • A member of the AC Archaeology team shows the media a map of the 800-year-old medieval settlement that was also discovered
