Pub Perfection!

We'd passed the Barn Owl a few times, each time promising ourselves we'd check it out. Well, finally, we did, and are now kicking ourselves for waiting so long! We called in at lunchtime, and were immediately impressed by the cosy but stylish decor, the warm ambience, and the welcome we got from the staff. The lunch menu seemed such good value that we decided to go for it, despite concerns over whether it could deliver for the price. And we were pleasantly surprised – not only were our meals delicious, but exquisitely presented. The service was excellent, too, and it was clear that both staff and management really care about their customers. But it was the little extra touches that really wowed us – a free newspaper when you arrive, the sweeties with the bill... even a help-yourself bowl of apples on the way out! Needless to say, we'll be going back...
