A must-visit... even if you don't drink cider!
An experience indeed, and it's a place that is oozing character. It's a shame there aren't more pubs like this. Traditional tables and chairs, cider out of the barrel, and what a selection too. There's Sui-cider for the brave (it's very strong) also also good stuff like Diesel. And there's not a pint of that imported lager rubbish in sight. Perfect. Easily five stars from me!

Very traditional
You cannot get more traditional than the Cider Bar, and it is a real favourite with most of my family! Selling such a wide range of ciders, summer-fruits, pear and traditional, the cider bar is the perfect place to sit and meet friends! It just about captures the traditional side to Newton Abbot, but the wooden seats are rather uncomfy, and I suggest bringing a cushion, or a jumper to sit on!

Quite an experience
A must if your visiting Newton Abbot, even if you're not a cider drinker. They don't make pubs like this anymore. Crazy atmosphere, crazy varieties of cider available. A proper local, overflowing with character.
