Hygiene rating as of April 2011
It has been given a 1 rating for hygiene by Teignbridge District Council which means urgent improvement is necessary. They are not alone.

China Garden Restaurant is oriental cuisine at its best
Having just returned to the UK from working in Hong Kong for five years, I have been fussy about where I'll get a Chinese takeaway from, or pay to eat in. China Garden may be a generic name, but there's nothing generic about the cooking. Superb value for money, great service and every dish I've had has been so tasty and authentic.

Awesome Chinese takeaway !
China Garden is a really great takeaway. They always deliver promptly and never get an order wrong, but best of all is the excellent quality of their food. The meat dishes (particularly the duck and beef) are cooked to perfection, the sauces are not gloopy and full of MSG, and the rice is fluffy and freshly steamed. The vegetables too are just the right level of crispiness and freshness, making for a really exceptional Chinese meal.
