The Olive Tree is one of my favourite restaurants in Exeter. Located in the heart of the city on Bystock Terrace in close proximity to both St. Davids and Exeter Central stations. It’s clear that customer satisfaction and presentation is a key factor with an immaculate display of fine dining from their award winning chefs. The Olive Tree comes highly recommended if you are looking for a dining experience with a touch of class, be it for a romantic dinner for two, or with a group of friends.

Mouth-watering British cuisine created using fresh local ingredients created by award-winning Chef Darren Knockton and for which The Olive Tree restaurant has been awarded 2 ROSETTES by the AA.
Set away from the noise and traffic, but within a stone's throw from the city centre, The Olive tree Restaurant is in a lovely tree-lined terrace off Queen Street by the Queens Court Hotel. The dining room features Venetian masks, gilt mirrors and a twinkling chandelier to set the mood for fine dining, but at prices that mean you don't need a special occasion to frequent the friendly, family-run establishment.

I dined at The Olive Tree restaurant on a visit to the university for which it's location is perfect due to the proximity to Exeter University campus and St Davids and Central stations. I would heartily recommend this restaurant for anyone dining out with guests for a thoroughly enjoyable and special evening. From the service to the quality of the food which was superb, the experience was impeccable. We enjoyed a drink at the colonial-style cosy bar reclining on a zebra skin chaise lounge while we waited to be seated at our table. The meal itself was complimented by the out-standing presentation and was deserving of the 2 rosette's the restaurant boasts. All-in-all, highly recommended.
