This was a suprise to find home cooked food that was brill. I loved the Trout that i had i have to say it was the best ever. The Staff are lovely , and welcoming nothing was to much trouble for them. I have to say this was a great experince and will be going back again and again.

Hidden Gem of the English Rivera
The food was out of this world. The service second to none. The atmosphere is frendaly and welcoming. There is no better place to eat. I advise you to book as because of there reputaion they are busy. Thanks Guy for the great night that we had one to remember

IRRESISTIBLE !
Just returned from a week in South Devon ( this is becoming an annual event ! ). I feel I must tell everyone about the delicious food, friendly atmosphere and efficient staff at Steps Bistro. In fact we found it all so good that we were unable to resist dining there almost every night. Thank you Rob and crew - see you again next year !

Who are you and where are you from???
I asked Rob at steps to post the views of my table "written on a comment Card" as provided in the leather wallet at the time we requested our bill! My 'older guests' do not access the internet... They were however afforded the opportunity to 'voice their opinion' in written form.. This they did... We had a wonderful time at this eatery.. a credit to the owner and it's staff! I gave permission for the owner to share my guests review 'verbatim' to this and other 'online' review sites! Should you have a problem with this please feel free to contact me. -
Fantastic Food, Welcoming Atmosphere
A friendly, welcoming atmosphere which was topped off with fantastic food, We loved everything about it, Thank you, you came highly recomended and did not disapoint.
