Are you being served? Old-style charm at Austins!
It's hard to beat the old-style charm of the traditional department store, where the upmarket quality of the stock adds a little touch of glamour to any shopping (or window-shopping) trip. Austins is different, though, in that it's spread across several stores. So, while I checked out the classy frocks and got a makeover in the beauty department at the main store, my other half could amuse himself in the toy shop down the street, and after a coffee we both went home happy! What more could you ask?

Set in the market town of Newton Abbot in Devon, we are a department store selling a wide range of products from clothes to toys.

friendly but not the cheapest
Large department store in the centre of Newton Abbot, offering everything from kitchenware, clothes, shoes, health and beauty items, gifts. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and polite. Price-wise, it’s average, you could probably find similar items for less if you looked elsewhere, but the location and friendliness of staff make this store very popular with shoppers of all ages. There’s a coffee shop too.

You ask most people their favourite shops in Newton Abbot and Austins will always be mentioned. Especially known for it's quality their four stores at the top end of town sell toys, men/womans wear, furniture, cosmetics and much much more.

Austins LTD is a department store that has long been in Newton Abbot. With several departments, all in different buildings, my favorite is by far the children's toy shop. With old fashioned wooden toys, sold next to modern brands, the toy department has a quirky feel, and all the excitement needed for perfect Christmas and Birthday presents. Happy shopping!

The most famous store in Newton Abbot -almost an institution. Renowned for the quality of its products - it's six of so stores, which dominate much of Wolborough Street, sell everything from mens and ladies fashion to furniture and toys. You can't leave Newton ABbot without visiting Austins.
