YMCA in medals at junior champs

PLYMOUTH YMCA won six medals at the recent Devon County Junior Championships at Exeter.

Louise Baldry, Xander Stewart and Cordelia Gregory all won golds, with Max Gregory taking a silver. Neil Ferris and Daniel Ridholls, who won bronze medals, added to YMCA’s tally, who had 10 members at the event.

Meanwhile, other students at the club enjoyed success at the latest grading assessment held at Newton Abbot.

Coach Steven Walter said: “It has been a really good year for the club.

“The competition and grading success is just a reflection of the hard work put in by the students on the judo mat.”
